· Weirdo was recorded at Rockfield, Monmouth. Mixed at Swanyard, London. Produced by Flood. Originally released in 1992. Written by Blunt, Brookes, Burgess & R. Collins

3. Morningrise – Slowdive
· LP: Catch The Breeze double-CD compilation LP
· Released in 2004 by Sanctuary Records
· Morningrise was originally released in 1991
· A UK band that came from Reading, Berkshire. The name Slowdive was reputed to be named after Siouxsie & The Banshees’ song, but actually it came from a dream that bassist, Nick Chaplin had. Two words appeared before his mind’s eye on that fateful night: “slowdive” and “slowburn”. The band could have been called Slowburn instead of Slowdive if Nick’s brain alighted on the latter. After Slowdive called it a day, band members Neil Halstead (vocals & guitars) & Rachel Goswell (vocals & guitars) moved on to form Mojave 3 and Christian Savill (guitar) headed off to form Monster Movie

4. When You Sleep – My Bloody Valentine

· A UK noise-pop band that has a great influence in a lot of modern rock/alternative/indie bands. Slowdive was one of the bands that was influenced by My Bloody Valentine

5. Mr. Alien – Spiral Kinetic Circus
· LP: Sweetened Condensed Tunes For The Broken Hearted
· Released in 1997
· One of the pioneer indie band from Malaysia. Active in the 90s but eventually disbanded. The line-up of the band are Fathul on vocals, Ken on guitars and Andy on bass. Sessionists Ajin on drums and Jijoe on guitars. Fathul was also playing in another pioneer indie band, Infectious Maggots. Infectious Maggots seem to have revived recently although Fathul is not involved. Fathul is currently in Fathullistiwa Soundscapes.

21. Ching An Jing (Please Be Quiet/Shut Up) – Nao
· This track is from their demo
· This is a Malaysian band from Chinese independent music scene. The song is in Mandarin. The title means “Please Be Quiet” or “Shut Up”. The band calls it “Shut Up” but Siang calls it “Please Be Quiet”. Nao was formed in 2002 with 4 members. This is a very angry independent band with the influences from Mars Volta, System Of A Down, Primus, and King Crimson. The 3-songs demo came with a t-shirt.
